HAVE QUESTIONS?
Do I need special equipment to use these dyes?
These dyes are ready to pour, but basic acid dye tools are still required. You will need a non-reactive pan, heat source, acid of choice such as citric acid or vinegar, gloves, and basic dye safety practices. No scales, respirators, or powdered dye handling are needed.
Are these dyes beginner-friendly?
These dyes are designed to remove measuring and mixing, but they assume familiarity with basic acid dye steps. If you understand how to apply heat and acid to set color on protein fibers, you will feel comfortable using these.
What fibers can I dye with this?
These dyes are formulated for protein fibers such as wool, silk, mohair, alpaca, and similar fibers. They are not suitable for cotton, linen, bamboo, acrylic, or other plant or synthetic fibers.
Does the dye already contain acid?
No. These dyes do not contain acid. You will need to add your preferred acid and apply heat to properly set the color.
How much yarn does one bottle dye?
Each 100 ml bottle is sized for 100g of fiber at a deep saturation. Lighter shades use less dye and can stretch further. Many dyers achieve between 2 and 8 standard 100g skeins depending on depth of color and technique.
Can I save leftover dye?
Yes. Unused dye can be stored tightly sealed in a cool, dark place. For best results, use within 90 days. Shake gently before use.
Will my results look exactly like the photos?
Photos show color on specific fibers under controlled conditions. Final results vary based on fiber type, water chemistry, heat, acid level, and application method. Variation is normal and part of hand dyeing.
Are these dyes good for variegated or layered color?
Yes. These single-color dyes are ideal for solid, tonal, layered, and multi-step applications. Many makers use them as building blocks for custom colorways.
What if I am unsure this fits my process?
If you are unsure whether this dye works for your fiber or setup, feel free to reach out before ordering. I am happy to help you decide.
How long do these dyes last?
These dyes are mixed fresh per order and are best used within 90 days of receiving for optimal color performance. Properly stored dye may remain usable longer, but freshness ensures the most consistent results.

As a knitter myself, I still remember the moment I discovered the joy of working with natural wool fibers for the first time. Just when I thought nothing could top that feeling, I learned to dye my own yarn and it felt like I had unlocked a secret world of color and creativity. It was peaceful, hands-on, and deeply satisfying. I created Lindori Fiber Studio to share that same experience with others who love creating with their hands. My hope is that Lindori gives you the confidence to explore, the joy of discovery, and the quiet amazement of stewarding something beautiful from start to finish.
